How to play Tap Tiles
A piano-tiles style rhythm game â hit each tile right as it crosses the line.
đ¯ Goal
Coloured tiles fall down four lanes. As each tile reaches the glowing hit line near the bottom, tap that lane. Nail the timing to score, keep a combo going for bonus points, and don't let tiles slip past — three missed tiles ends the run. The longer you last, the faster and busier it gets.
đšī¸ Controls
- Mobile: tap the four lanes directly, or use the big pads underneath the board.
- Desktop: press D F J K for lanes 1–4 (arrow keys and A S L also work).
- One tap per tile — hit it in the window around the line.
âī¸ Scoring & timing
- A tile hit dead-on the line scores a Perfect (more points); slightly early or late is a Good.
- Every consecutive hit builds your combo. Each 10-combo adds a +50% score multiplier.
- Missing a tile, or tapping an empty lane, breaks your combo. Missing resets the multiplier and costs a life.
đĨ Difficulty
- Pick Easy, Medium or Hard to set the starting speed and how often tiles appear.
- No matter which you pick, the tiles speed up and get denser the longer you survive — every run eventually pushes your limits.
- Your best score is saved per difficulty on your device.
đĄ Tips
- Rest your fingers over the pads/keys so you can react without looking down.
- Watch the tops of the lanes, not the line — read ahead and let your hands follow.
- Chasing Perfects is worth it, but a steady stream of Goods keeps the combo (and multiplier) alive.
