How to play Rope Drop

A cut-the-rope style physics puzzle — slice the ropes at the right moment and drop the orb into the basket.

đŸŽ¯ Goal

An orb hangs in the air from one or more ropes pinned to anchors. Your job is to cut the ropes so the orb swings, falls and lands in the basket. Grab the floating stars along the way for a higher score and a better star rating. Get the orb home before you run out of tries.

đŸ•šī¸ Controls

  • Slice: swipe (drag) across a rope to cut it. The cut happens wherever your swipe crosses the rope line.
  • Timing matters: cutting one rope lets the orb swing on the others — release it at the right point in its swing to send it toward the basket.
  • Works with touch on mobile or mouse on desktop.

đŸĒĸ Ropes, stars & obstacles

  • With several ropes, the order and timing of your cuts decides where the orb goes — think about the swing before you slice.
  • Stars float between the orb and the basket. Route the orb through them for bonus points — all three is the goal.
  • Pegs and bars get in the way; the orb bounces off them, so use them to your advantage or avoid them.

🎲 Every level is different

  • The layout is procedurally generated each time — the orb's start, the ropes, the star positions, the obstacles and the basket location all change.
  • Read the new setup and plan your cuts — there's usually more than one way to solve it.

⭐ Difficulty & scoring

  • Easy: 1–2 ropes and few obstacles. Medium: more ropes and hazards. Hard: a tangle of ropes, pegs and bars to work through.
  • Score comes from stars collected plus a completion bonus. Beat the score thresholds to earn 1, 2 or 3 stars.

💡 Tips

  • Let the orb build up a swing on one rope, then cut it at the peak to fling it toward a far basket.
  • Grab the stars first — plan a path that sweeps through them on the way down.
  • If a cut goes wrong, you get another orb — learn the swing and try a different order.
